HOLIDAYS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D Go ahead, grab that huge Sharpie and make a big, 'in-your-face' circle around the date that marks the start of our extremely needed vacay.
Vacations always act like some drug on me. I get all giddy just thinking about it and suddenly I'm not dragging my feet to school anymore, instead I find myself floating on a bright, fluffy cloud. They're like that pair of Louboutins you pray you'll get for Christmas or Hari Raya or whatever, the shining beacon of hope that you won't spend your whole life in Charles and Keith heels that about a thousand other Bruneians have. Like that thick, creamy chocolate cake you can't wait to savour after a day filled with failed attempts of dieting a la The Biggest Loser.
It's pure hope.
For us students, the holidays give us hope that life is so much more than rushing to school everyday and trying to finish our work before lessons start. Life is so much more than repeating the same dull routine every single day and life is so much more than worrying about whether Ms M will beat you up with her metre-rule or electrocute you with the Stroboscope upon discovering the fact that you've 'misplaced' your P textbook.
Hang in there, the countdown to freedom has started and in time you'll find a need for that teeny, Alice + Olivia minidress you've shoved at the back of your wardrobe because your social life as you know it has been trumped by words and phrases like 'curfew' and 'no parties on school nights'. Oh yay, it's raining. FINALLY!
Ryhan
p.s. everyone should dance in the rain once in a while. it's FUN. except for the getting sick part. :p
what we could have been, 12:08 AM.
